Training for trainers
Welcome to the Access+EU Training of Trainers! As part of the project, we invite several youth workers from the partner countries to Italy in order to potentiate and empower them. We aim to provide an engaging training course and programme flow so that youth workers become more able to design and implement learning activities and mobility projects with the mindset of accessibility and inclusivity.
Here we share content about our training, insights of the participants, training materials, photos and videos, aiming to increase the visibility of the project and engage a wider audience, spreading the values of Access+EU and encouraging the public to participate in a more inclusive Europe.
Training of Trainers in Bologna, Italy
The Access+EU Training of Trainers was a three-day learning experience designed to strengthen youth workers’ capacity to create, implement and facilitate inclusive Erasmus+ mobility and youth projects. Through eight modules, participants explored disability awareness, inclusive communication, support needs in mobility, inclusive project design and facilitation, cooperation with families and professionals, digital accessibility, evaluation and follow-up. The programme combined reflection with practical, experiential and non-formal learning methods, including simulations, role-play, accessibility audits, scenario work, group exercises and action planning, helping participants translate inclusion principles into concrete practices for their organisations and future projects.
Participants’ insights and the most outstanding learning for them:

“That a simple task for me can be a massive challenge to someone else.”

“The possibility to adapt activities without being scared.”

“To actively take action to foster accessibility and inclusion.”

“Good preparation means recognising special needs.”

“The key takeaway is realising the immense power of including young people with fewer opportunities in European mobility projects.”

“The session in the park really gave me insight into how people with disabilities function in everyday tasks.”
“In each session I could find something useful that I can apply in my work.”
